Trip to Tarraco
Last Wednesday, 30 th April, my class, 1st of Bachillerato and 4th of E.S.O. went to Tarragona to see the Roman city " Tarraco".We went out at eight o'clock, a bus was waiting for us to leave the institute.
The trip lasted 2 hours, we had the opportunity to sleep a little.
When we arrived, we had 15 minutes for lunch, we ate in a park there.
When we finished lunch, we went to the entrance of a museum where we waited for two guides,
There we saw a model of the ancient Roman city.
Then, we went to see the wall surrounding Tarraco, and walked through the city to reach the coast. On the way, we saw a Gothic cathedral, the Roman circus, theater...
Upon reaching the coast,we entered the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona where they keep and retain many parts of the ancient city.
Finally, we visited the amphitheater, where the visit was over.
After that, we went to eat at a park, and when we finished, we could take a walk through the city center.
Leaving Tarragona by bus, we stopped to see the aqueduct, which was on the outskirts of the city. Finally, we returned to Oropesa.

TRAVEL TO ...
The last wednesday, 30 of April, some of IES Torre del Rei's students went to Tarragona. I was one of these students. My classmates and I went there with the greek and latin teacher and religion teacher.
In Tarragona we saw the ancient town of Tarraco.
There were some construccions like the circus, the wall and the amphitheater.
After that we went to the Tarraco Museum to see some of Roman reamains, like mosaics, croks and busts.
At the end of the excursion we went to visit the aqueduct and we took nice photos:
The travel was fantastic. When we were turning back to Oropesa we saw an exciting thing:
We would like to go...
MY SCHOOL YEAR
First, I´m going to tell my opinion about 1st of Bachillerato in general and after that , I will tell my opinion of the Practical English class.
1st of Bachillerato
When we were finishing 4º of ESO , some students of 1st of Bachillerato told us that it is a very hard year and we where a bit worried.
We started 1st of Bachillerato and we realised that it isn´t very difficult but we had to study more and we had to work harder.
In the first therm , I thougt that studying a littel I will have good marks , but my marks told me that I have to study more , and that was what i did in the second therm and my marks improved .
I hope that I will improve my marks and I will finish this year passing all the subjects and I will pass the 2nd of Bachillerato.

Practical English
It is one of my favourite subjects besides Technical Drawing.
Ilike Practical English classes because we do different things and not only the book and exams like in other classes.
I liked a lot the murder mistery game that we have done and I enjoyed it a lot. I liked the blog too and I thimk that it is a good subject.
I am a littel disapointed because I wanted to go to London because I think that we would have learned more English and we would have enjoyed the journey.
Tarragona
Last Wednesday my mates and I went to Tarragona. We went by bus and visited the Roman city. Some of the buildings we visited were:
The Roman forum.
- Amphitheatre
The cathedral (in the past was a temple).
The Roman circus.
After seing all the monuments we went to the museum.
When we were leaving we stopped near the aqueduct and we crossed walking over it.
My school year
MY SCHOOL YEAR IN 1st OF BACHILLERATO
This year I am in 1st of Bachillerato. This is a stressful hard year because we have to study more than other years. This year we have to think about the university and what we want to do in the future.
This year will finish early and some people told me that next year is worse, I think that it is possible but now I am just thinking about 1st of Bachillerato.
We have to study a lot and the exams are very difficult. We have to do some projects too.
This school year is difficult but I have friends and we have good moments too.
Now we have a lot of exams because the school year will finish soon and it is the most sterssful and hardest part of the year.
My goal is to pass this year. I hope to pass it with good marks.
MAGDALENA FESTIVITIES
Last week we celebrated the Magdalena festivities in Castellón de la Plana. I went to the festivities and I enjoyed the festivity.
As a representative of "Festeros" from Oropesa I went to the "Pregó" and threw confetti and sweets to everyone. I enjoyed myself as a little girl.
I also went to "desfile de gaiatas" too. In Castellon the "gaiatas" are like "fallas" in Valencia, they are monuments made of lights and glass. In " gaiatas" parade people can see them with the lights on and they are really beautiful. Here some people walk and other people see them and ask them if you can give "la volteta" which means to go around so that they can see you properly. It was the first time that I was here and I found it funny.
When this finished, the "gaiatas" aren't burnt like "fallas", they can win an award.
"GAIATAS" |
In my opinion the festivities of Castellon are interesting but I like more the Oropesa festivities because this year I enjoyed a lot and because I go every year.

MY SCHOOL YEAR
MY SCHOOL YEAR
1º of Bachillerato welcome to the stress
Before starting this school year, everyone told me that 1º of Bachillerato would be very difficult. Now, that it is ending, I think they were completely right. You have to work hard and it is stressful.
We must take this course seriously and when you think you've given everything, you still have to make another effort. But despite all the hard moments that we are spending during the course, we should always keep our head cool and focus on our goal: pass the year with good marks.
Not everything in this school year is "bad", there are very special moments that although they are not many, we wil always remember. We have lived with people who little by little have become "our school family", both classmates and teachers.
So I want to thank those who, during this and previous years, have supported me in good times and in my unbearable moments, because, one way or another, they have been my support and have made my school year not as hard.
